The Chinese Lander Yutu has some problems

The moon lander Yutu successfully deployed by the Chinese has had a malfunction. One of its solar panels has failed to fold inward. This is necessary during the lunar night to protect the delicate instruments. Time will tell what damage has been caused to these instruments when the lander resumes daily activity. This mission was designed to be both a scientific and engineering test so these failures will help future missions. Let’s hope the damage is minimal and the lander can carry on some functions on the moon.
