Moon North Pole.jpg

Here is a fun thing to do. Go and explore the North Pole on the Moon. NASA have released an interactive map of the area made up of 10,581 pictures. This gives the image a resolution of 2 metres to each pixel and the whole image covers an area larger than a quarter of the USA. This incredible image totals nearly 867 billion pixels and took four years to make. You can zoom in and out or pan around the area and discover new things. All this was made possible using NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO). A spacecraft orbiting the Moon.
