A New Comet Discovered, Comet TOTAS

On the 1st February Europe’s Teide Observatory Tenerife Asteroid Survey team made an unexpected discovery whilst looking for asteroids. The software that compares images to see if anything changes found a moving object. This object was comet P/2014 C1 TOTAS. It is a faint comet orbiting between Jupiter and Mars. The comet won’t come close to Earth.
